Panomera® Serie W

Dallmeier 005948.410

During the further development of Panomera® into a 360° camera system, the lenses of the multifocal sensor approach were arranged radially. The Panomera® W 360° captures a complete 360° panorama. The entire 360° environment is displayed as a coherent and linear view. In this display, any secondary view with high-resolution density can be opened and enlarged. The systems thus enable a completely new type of control over spatial relationships with maximum overview and great assistance for the personnel.

For a long time, video technology has been stuck on a technological plateau: only small improvements can be made to PTZ camera systems, and the same applies to the concept of single-sensor megapixel cameras: the fundamental disadvantages – limited coverage area, “either-or” choice between detail and overview, no definable resolution density – cannot be overcome. Because of these shortcomings, Dallmeier invented the revolutionary Panomera® multifocal sensor system back in 2011, adopting a new revolutionary approach in its thinking. Now, the Panomera® 360° represents the next, radical break with the known and offers customers completely new added values, previously unattainable with video technology.

The Panomera® W 360° is designed for two operational areas: on one hand, the camera is a security solution with exceptionally high performance, offering significantly better observation quality thanks to greater operational convenience and lower total costs. On the other hand, the precisely definable minimum resolution density of the Panomera® W 360° allows it to function as an extremely powerful data sensor for a wide range of Industry 4.0 applications.

Technological components can look good. Technology must integrate perfectly into modern architectural contexts – such as airport terminals, railway stations, or baggage claim areas – both in terms of appearance and functionality. The Panomera® W 360° concept meets this requirement uniquely: very few mounting points are needed to cover large areas and long distances. The number of camera installation positions is minimized.

QUICK CONNECTION WITH QUICK LOCK:
The idea: unpack and connect with few manual adjustments; the Mountera solution, the patented mounting and locking system with an integrated handle that allows easy, safe, and quick installation.

HEATED DOME:
An optimized heating and thermal management system prevents damage caused by condensation.

COOLING AND DESIGN:
Specially configured cooling fins ensure optimal cooling and integrate elegantly into any environment.

HIDDEN CABLING:
For shock-proof mounting, cables are routed only through the inside of the bracket. Fasteners are invisible from the outside.

HIGH-QUALITY MATERIALS:
In the production of the Panomera® W 360°, only high-quality materials are used, such as solid aluminum for the housing and high-quality silicone for the seals.

PROTECTION FROM WATER JETS AND SALTWATER:
The IP66 protection rating allows operation even in adverse conditions such as high-pressure water jets or saltwater.

Disadvantages of conventional solutions:
A full high-resolution overview with the ability to zoom in on multiple details simultaneously is not possible with conventional systems. If the user needs an overview of the entire sequence of events, this is only possible at the expense of resolution or manageability. Furthermore, in the recording, it is not possible to zoom in on some detailed scenes after the fact, which greatly reduces the value of these systems for forensic purposes.

Advantages of the Panomera® W 360°:
Thanks to sophisticated software, the Panomera® allows a complete panoramic view of the area at 360°, “laid out” on a flat surface. If you want to take a closer look at one or more high-resolution detail scenes, you can open any number of detailed zooms with a click of the mouse. Unlike all other systems, any number of detailed zooms can also be opened in the recording, thus allowing for precise “post-event” search and evidence capture.

  • Using the Panomera® W 360° systems allows significantly larger areas to be covered with the same number of personnel: depending on the scenario, up to 8 times more than traditional solutions.
  • With the simultaneous zoom functionality and overview of the entire event sequence, even complex situations can be managed easily. The use of multiple systems and the “Next Best Cam” function simplifies operators’ tasks even in very large spatial contexts.
  • The Panomera® W 360° supports operators with many functions such as automatic monitoring of people across multiple cameras or AI-based analysis for event preselection and classification.
  • The Panomera® W 360° can be fully integrated into Dallmeier’s HEMISPHERE® data and video management platform. The HEMISPHERE® SeMSy® VMS system provides an extremely user-friendly interface and can be combined with many data management modules.

The Panomera® W 360° allows a complete 360° view with previously unknown resolution quality and in a contiguous image. To achieve this, images from 7 detail sensors and one panorama sensor are combined by sophisticated software to form a comprehensive image. Operators can zoom in on any number of areas simultaneously while maintaining a high-resolution representation of the overall activity at all times.

The number of cameras, as well as the number of screens that need to be monitored, is substantially reduced. This makes the operators’ work much easier.

With Panomera®, it is possible to create any number of high-resolution zooms in all detail areas of the overall activity even in the backup: this is a very important function when dealing with, for example, complex positions and contexts, or for successful forensic analysis, something not possible with other solutions available on the market.

Video technology is increasingly taking on the role of an “all-round sensor” for all types of analysis and AI applications. But today’s systems lack some essential aspects for this purpose, such as the ability to accurately plan the minimum resolution density, a critical criterion for successful further data processing. Equally important is a hardware platform that can still be upgraded even several years later to meet new requirements.

The image quality is defined exactly by the “Resolyzer” process in the 3D planning process. With this innovative approach, the precise image quality for each square meter of the area to be captured can be exactly defined in advance. This in turn ensures the achievement of security and analysis objectives.
